Stronafian House is a spacious house with four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, situated on the beautiful west coast of Scotland on Cowal peninsula.
The house has a spacious kitchen for cooking enthusiasts and a wide selection of cookbooks. Nearby locally grown products for sale, such as venison from Winston Churchill or sea weed from Iain McKellar of Just Seaweed from the Isle of Bute, to cook delicious meals.
On the southwest side of the house you have a beautiful view from the spacious conservatory. Providing opportunities to relax near the wood stove or enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner. For relaxation at home there is a pool table and table football available, as well as Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of DVDs. Note there is no mainstream television.
From the house you can walk in the beautiful hills or along the Glen. You can also walk to the restaurant in Colintraive along the coast (1.5 hours).
The Cowal Way is a long-distance route which connects to the West Highland route, it passes close to the house.
With some luck, you will see roe deer or red deer from home. Otters are seen regularly along the coast. For bird watchers the area is also interesting. Osprey, white-tailed eagle and golden eagle are seen regularly at Loch Riddon. The estuary accommodates waders, ducks and geese. In the surrounding hills occasionally black grouse are recorded.
The house has a walled garden. Children games and toys are available as well as a baby bed.
